I have always admired the Afghan Hound from afar and did not get one because I was busy with the minis or with my children, or both! So in 2008 I found myself with some extra time to see what an Afghan Hound is like to live with.

Wendye and Stuart Slatyer of Calahorra Kennels kindly offered me Heaven to mind for a while and I found her to be an absolute delight. She fitted in beautifully with the other dogs and was wonderful with my children.

If you are looking for a large, coated, breed then perhaps an Afghan Hound is the breed for you!
